I know the horizon kind of sucks. If anybody has any post processing suggestions...id love to hear them. And please...forgive the high amount of grain. Just pretend its an old analog long exposure.

aww...thanks! Sadly, the standards for long exposure night photography are so hi these days that anything that doesnt look like it came from the cover of nat geo is pissed on. but that being said, considering what i have to work with, im quite happy with it!

you have a d5000. so you totally could. all you need is a tripod and sky with little to no light polution. just leave the aperature wide open, use an iso of between 800 and 1600, and put your shutter on the lowest speed possible. Im really glad you like the picture!
